Summary:

LGBTQ Entrepreneur + Coach seeking inspired, creative, and growth-minded marketing assistant to help launch and manage multiple creative projects in the living abroad / expat space.

About the Role: 

Jess Drucker is the Founder of Adventure Calls, an LGBTQ focused brand helping queer Americans move, live and thrive abroad. She does this through content, coaching and community.

As Marketing Assistant, you’ll be a vital part of Jessica’s marketing for both high-touch coaching, workshops and daily social media posts to build the brand and the personal brand of Jessica as well. Content will be upfront strategy work required to help decide direction, followed by consistent production of short video and graphic design work, engaging, curating content and helping with PR and outbound communications.

You should apply if you have a practical, tactical side to achieve goals around consistency, as well as a creative side that will help think of new topics, angles, and ideas and help see them through. You’re just as likely to say something like, “based on past engagement, this or this might work best,” as well as, “you know what would be so cool,” or “call me crazy, but couldn’t we…”

Responsibilities:

  • Strategize approach to social media for Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok and Linkedin.

  • Create and manage a social content calendar centered on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.

  • Establish posting schedule for each channel, develop content ideas and draft posts including but not limited to reels, stories, posts, and livestreams.

  • Assist in strategy and posting on TikTok, and creating TikTok ads.

  • Help launch funnels and content around upcoming workshop and book launches.

  • Stay on top of timely publishing to continue to build the brand.

  • Publish monthly newsletters to Jessica’s audience with Mailchimp.

  • Work with Jess to publish blog content as necessary; stay up to speed on trending and important topics.

  • Light graphic creation on Canva.

  • Help manage Jessica’s calendar, scheduling media interviews, speaking engagements and brand appearances.

  • Light administrative duties, including help Jess manage her inbox, as necessary

  • Attend weekly meetings with Jess to discuss upcoming strategy and tasks

Skills:

Please apply if you meet at least 60% of the below criteria:

  • Ridiculously excellent copywriter

  • Strong, quick designer using Canva

  • Heavily self-motivated; able to complete entire projects with minimal supervision, and good at “managing up” to keep others aligned and on task

  • Extremely comfortable with social media, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn; deep understanding of the nuances of each

  • Good understanding of email marketing

  • Super-speedy researcher; can find just about anything on the Internet

  • Excellent communicator with a personable and professional written and spoken voice; you’ll be representing Jess in front of prospective partners and clients

  • Super organized: Can take all of Jessica’s waterfalls of ideas and organize them into concise and tangible steps forward.

  • Able to pick up new tech tools and apps with ease

A plus if you are:

  • Deeply inspired by living abroad and versed in the world of expatriates and expat life.

  • A firm believer in amplifying and lifting a deep diversity of the LGBTQ community.

Expectations:

10 hours per week, fully remote

Pay/benefits:

$25 USD/hour contract.
