JOB SUMMARY
The Application & IT Support Specialist is a member of the Systems Department at Natural Habitat Adventures. This is a full-time hybrid position, requiring at least 2-4 days in our Louisville, Colorado home office. This position reports to our Director of IT and works closely with our IT Network Manager and third-party IT support vendor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
To do this job successfully, the applicant must be able to successfully perform the following duties. Additional responsibilities may be added or assigned at any time.

  • Perform applications support work as one of the primary tech contacts during business hours (and the occasional after-hours).
  • Troubleshoot, resolve and maintain fixes to our reservations system and other business applications.
  • Help manage support cases with our third-party IT support company and other third-party vendors.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and technological improvements at Nat Hab.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidate has earned at minimum an associate degree in technology or is graduating with a bachelor’s degree within the year.
  • At least 1 year of tech support experience in a deadline-oriented, multitasking environment.
  • Skilled in at least one scripting language with a demonstrated passion for being able to learn new technical skills on the job quickly.
  • Experienced working with data manipulation and formulas in Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Windows OS, Windows Server and Microsoft SharePoint (basic familiarity with Mac OS is a plus).
  • FileMaker development experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in solving technical issues in a multi-platform technology ecosystem.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate technical information in simple to understand terms.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with high levels of integrity, maturity and enthusiasm.
  • A zealous learner that has a passion for the work.
  • Shares a deep respect for our mission of conservation through exploration.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and listen. The employee will also be required to type, read and write on a computer screen. The employee must also be able to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Compensation commensurate with experience with a salary range of $50,000 to $55,000. The position has an estimated annualized bonus of 5% of the base salary. The bonus is based on extraordinary individual performance and Nat Hab company performance. The bonus is prorated for those who start after January 1 and is paid in the first quarter of the following year.

Eligibility for medical insurance, participation in 401(k) with company match and parental leave after a predetermined period.

LOCATION
Nat Hab currently has a hybrid work model, with some days working in-person at the office and some days working from home for those employees who live near the Nat Hab headquarters in Boulder County, Colorado. This is subject to change as the COVID-19 situation evolves. Residing in the Denver/Boulder Metro Area is strongly preferred.

VACCINATION POLICY
Currently, only fully vaccinated staff can work in the physical office and enjoy site inspection benefits. As this position requires office attendance, we are only accepting applications from those who are fully vaccinated. This is subject to change as the COVID-19 situation evolves.
