Black Travel Alliance Announces Global Advisory Board 

Oakland, California (January 13, 2022) — Black Travel Alliance, a professional non-profit organization [501(c)(3)], created to encourage, educate, equip and excel Black content creators and other travel professionals, today announced an Advisory Board to provide strategic guidance and support the organization’s three pillars of Alliance, Amplification and Accountability within the travel industry.

The Advisory Board brings together some of the most accomplished leaders in the tourism, media and non-profit spaces, collectively offering expertise and a unique understanding of advocacy for diversity, equity and inclusion in the travel industry. They will serve on the board until 31st December 2022.

Martinique Lewis, President of the Black Travel Alliance, comments: “We identified industry leaders who would make the most valuable contribution to the Alliance and its members, and we are positive we have found the inaugural board that will help us grow and make lasting changes in the travel industry.”

The members of the Advisory Board named today are:

About the Appointees

Beth Santos

Beth Santos is the founder and CEO of Wanderful, a global lifestyle brand and inclusive community of thousands of travelers and travel content creators. Wanderful reaches over 45,000 women each year through a thriving online membership network, local chapter events in 50 cities, global summits and small group trips.

Jason Dunn Sr.

Jason Dunn has been a change-maker in Cincinnati and within the national hospitality industry for almost two decades, with a drive to redefine how the industry thinks about multicultural and diversity meetings and their impact on the destinations. Since joining the Cincinnati USA Convention & Visitors Bureau in 2004, Jason has led efforts to deliver significant new convention business and forged inroads with the national multicultural & diverse meetings market.

Danny Guerrero

Danny Guerrero, a 20+ year passionate industry veteran, is a trailblazer and force for good in the travel, tourism and hospitality industries. Danny’s efforts have activated crucial conversations and actions with travel brands to better reflect underrepresented needs and shifts in culture in brand marketing and communications.

Kelley Louise

A travel entrepreneur passionate about storytelling and sustainability, Kelley is the founder of Impact Travel Alliance, the world’s largest community for socially and eco-conscious travelers. She is also the Head of Content Marketing at Fora, a new startup reimagining the travel advisor industry with fresh eyes.

Eulanda Shead Osagiede

Eulanda Shead-Osagiede is an award-winning food culture and travel journalist, photographer, TV presenter, and DEI marketing consultant. She has been featured in a number of high-profile print and digital publications. As a champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the travel and hospitality industry, she has promoted DEI on multiple platforms as a speaker, workshop facilitator, and thought leader.

Anders Lindström

For over a decade, Anders Lindström has championed and advocated for diversity and inclusion across four travel brands. In 2010, Anders conceived and implemented the ‘Love is in the Air’ LGBTQ+ campaign for SAS Scandinavian Airlines, one of the industry’s most successful global social media initiatives. The multi-award-winning and multi-faceted project became SAS’ most covered, proactive news item in its history, unmatched even today. In his current role at the world’s leading expedition cruise company, Hurtigruten Expeditions, Anders will launch another “industry first” in 2022: an Advisory Board that aims to elevate Black travelers within the adventure travel space and expand their visibility across the whole of the cruise industry.

Cecelia Adjei

Cecelia is an experienced brand and marketing expert, cultural consultant and public speaker. She has experience working with brands across culture, lifestyle and entertainment verticals to deliver strategies, programs and end-to-end campaigns. Currently based in Accra, Ghana, Cecelia works to support the development of brands on the continent through delivering informed strategies and impactful campaigns. Applying her skills across popular cultural partnerships and global marketing campaigns, Cecelia has worked with some great brands so far such as Google Travel team, Cape Town Tourism, FREE THE YOUTH, THIIIRD magazine, SportsDirect, Translate Culture, Just Jaz and Trippin World.
